Advance Richmond played an active, community-led role during the Cowichan Land Title dispute, which raised serious concerns for property owners across British Columbia — including Richmond.
When news emerged of a family nearly losing their land title due to a controversial court ruling, many residents feared that similar risks could impact homeowners in our city.

To ensure Richmond families fully understood their rights and the implications of the case, our volunteers immediately organized door-knocking outreach across affected neighbourhoods. During these visits, we:

• Explained what the Cowichan dispute meant for ordinary homeowners

• Raised awareness about the potential legal precedent

• Encouraged residents to stay informed and united

When the Richmond homeowner facing a related land-title concern stepped forward, Advance Richmond stood with them every step of the way. Our team:
