Professional and community background

Danny Chang is a Richmond-based business director and owner of an import and wholesale company. With strong roots in the community, he combines professional expertise with a passion for education, youth development, and public service.

Danny graduated from Simon Fraser University (SFU) with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing and Management Information Systems. His professional background equips him with the skills to execute plans with efficiency, discipline, and a strong sense of fiscal responsibility.

Beyond business, Danny has actively participated in civic life. He has volunteered in both federal and provincial election campaigns, knocking on doors to connect with residents and hear their concerns directly. These experiences strengthened his belief in grassroots involvement and the importance of listening to the community.

As a parent with a daughter in the Richmond School District, Danny is deeply committed to ensuring that schools provide fun, welcoming, and safe environments for students — free of bullying and supportive of academic growth. He has also recognized that without proper guidance, children can be vulnerable to misguided policies, especially around drug use and school safety. Danny is motivated to protect young people from these risks while also helping them maintain strong academic competitiveness.

By combining his business experience, volunteer service, and dedication to families, Danny is committed to making Richmond a place where children and parents alike can thrive.
